What happens when 3 Koreans and 3 Singaporeans sit down for dinner? Fun! Lotsa fun!

Me, Nat, Michelle, Hayoung, Jinju and Changwon were having a ball of a time... talking abt International Night, telling funny stories and making jokes... so much so that we forgot the time...

For example, Changwon is showing how her name is written in Chinese. It's "zheng yuan", "zheng" as in "correct" and "yuan" as in "garden". Nat trys his hand at explaining what the name means... comes up with "restoration" as in God's restoration of the Garden of Eden. Everyone is incredulous especially when Changwon says that's not the case... So Nat says, "Are your parents Christian?" "No," says Changwon. Cue more laughter.

Then Jinju is asked what her name means... the usual joke meanings come up... golden pig... After a while Jinju says that her name means "the best pearl"... We're quite amused that she has such a meaning behind her name... I say "Are your parents Christian?" More laughter. Sorry Jinju, of course I know your parents are Christian.

Have to enjoy times like this while they can still happen. Nat said something that really set me thinking. Soon, Hayoung will graduate and leave for Korea. Six months after that happens, Michelle will leave for Thailand. Hope that we will all be able to keep in close contact.

Had a small glass of wine just now. Feeling sleepy already...
